Chairman Dejphon Chansiri says he appointed Carlos Carvalhal as head coach because he wants us to play ‘with a new, exciting and attacking philosophy’.
He told today’s press conference at Hillsborough that they interviewed several candidates to replace Stuart Gray and he believes Carvalhal is the right man for the job.
Carvalhal said he is working hard to create a strong squad and said: ‘I want to make us strong in our stadium, in front of our fans. We want to get this club back in its correct place.’
He added: ‘We need players who can fight but also have that technical ability. The players are enjoying what we are doing.’
