The London Owls will be gathering at our usual haunt in the capital – Mabel’s Tavern – to watch the televised derby with Sheff U on Friday evening. It’s a 7.45pm kick off and, for those who haven’t joined us at Mabel’s in the past, the pub is at 9 Mabledon Place, WC1H 8AZ.

Fletcher back in the Scotland squad

Steven  Fletcher has earnt a recall to the Scotland squad … 13 months since winning his last cap. Manager Alex McLeish named the Wednesday striker in the squad to play two Nations League games later this month, travelling to Albania on November 17 and then hosting Israel at Hampden Park three days later.

Penney signs on at S6 until 2020

Promising youngster Matt Penney has signed a new contract which will see him at Hillsborough until the summer of 2020. The 20-year-old academy product has caught the eye since making his first team debut in August, particularly when attacking from a defensive position wide on the left in his early games.
