Carlos on Brighton, Wolves and Jose . . .

Carlos Carvalhal believes Wednesday are in better shape to face Brighton in the play-offs than when we played them in the Championship this season.

Both clashes finished goalless and Carvalhal says: “We will prepare well for the games. They are a difficult opponent, we drew both times against them but I believe we are now in a better way at this moment.”

The head coach also called on the fans to create the same atmosphere, as in the recent crucial win over Cardiff, when Brighton come to Hillsborough for the first leg on Friday night.

Reflecting on the defeat to Wolves in the final league game of the season, Carvalhal felt the much-changed side looked a better team in the second half and that they finished in strong shape.

He also questioned speculation that Jose Semedo might have played his last game for the club ai Molineux. Carvalhal praised the player’s ability on the pitch and his influence in the dressing room and indicated that there are still many decisions to made, depending on what division we are playing in next season.
