Carlos looks for home comfort after defeat

Carlos Carvalhal immediately turned his attention to the upcoming games after the narrow defeat at Leeds.

The head coach said: “Now we have four games, three at home and one away and next month will be very important month to us.

“We must be 100 per cent  focussed and put a lot of energy into the next games – the players, us, the fans and let’s put Sheffield Wednesday in a better position by the end of next month.”

Reflecting on the Elland Road reverse, Carvalhal said we went out to try to win the game and added: “A lack of concentration in one second saw us take a goal which I don’t think we deserved to concede.

“We continued to play positive football and had a clear chance with the penalty. We missed it but we still tried and had the ball around the area two or three times but did not score.”

He added: “We did not finish the game thinking opposite to what we were thinking before the game. We are a strong side in the competition, a good team and we can achieve a good position.”
