Carlos: I believe my future is with Owls

Carlos Carvalhal believes he will still be Wednesday’s head coach after Friday night’s home clash with Championship leaders Wolves … whatever the result of the televised game.

Reacting to reports that he could be axed if we fail to get something out of the match, Carvalhal said a quote from him after the Norwich defeat was misinterpreted and he feels he will continue in the head coach role “to the end”, believing he can still take us to the Premier League if he can get key players back from injury.

Carvalhal highlighted Wednesday’s growing problems with long-term casualties Fernando Forestieri, Sam Hutchinson, Tom Lees and George Boyd continuing to recover while Jack Hunt, Steven Fletcher and Kieran Lee are now added to the sick list and seemingly ruled out of the Wolves game.
