Carlos happy with cup performance

Carlos Carvalhal felt Wednesday’s win over second division Oxford was a typical cup tie.

Speaking after the 1-0 Capital Cup victory, the head coach said: “We controlled the match, we had lots of chances.

“We missed five or six clear chances at goal in the first half. We said at the break that it would be a question of time before we scored and we also told the players we needed to play with a little more speed in moving the ball.”

Carvalhal said he was happy we didn’t concede and the most important thing was that we went through to the next round.

Talking about goalscorer Atdhe Nuhiu, he said: “I am happy with the player and he can be a problem to other teams.”
