Stephen Bywater has left Wednesday for Championship rivals Millwall.
Keeper Bywater, who failed to get a first-team opportunity last season following the signing of Chris Kirkland, was offered a new deal at S6 but favoured a move to the New Den.
He signed for us permanently in January 2012 after an initial loan spell and was an important part of the division one promotion-winning side.
