Bullen: Midfield change reaped rewards

Lee Bullen said a half-time change of plan in midfield paved the way for Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Luton that took us back to the top of the Championship,

After a poor first-half, Bullen said: “We didn’t really have the balance of play that we wanted. We had to change the way we structured the midfield three and it paid dividends, really right from the start of the second half.

“There’s not many times I’m going to be more pleased this season than that three points because it proves another side of what we have got in that changing room.”

The caretaker boss said: “It is nice to be top. We are happy with how things have gone and we have won three out of four.”

With regard to the vacant manager’s job, Bullen said he was only thinking of the game at Preston on Saturday and added: “I am living the dream. I am enjoying what I am doing and the players seem to be enjoying themselves at the moment.”
