Preslav Borukov helped himself to a hat-trick as Wednesday under-23s defeated Corby Town 5-1 in their friendly on Friday night.
Jack Stobbs fired Wednesday into an early lead and Borukov netted twice before the break to put the Owls 3-0 ahead at the interval.
Stobbs hit a fourth soon after the restart and then sent Borukov through to complete his hat-trick with only 62 minutes on the clock.
Former Corby youngster Jordan O’Brien, who joined Wednesday during last season, came on as a late substitute before the home side grabbed a last-minute consolation goal.
