Many of you will be aware of the book “Flying Over an Olive Grove”, about the extraordinary life of former Owl, Fred Spiksley.
We have arranged for one of the book’s authors, Mark Metcalf, to come along and give us a talk about Fred’s remarkable story and also the development of Olive Grove and the subsequent move to Hillsborough. It is sure to be an enjoyable and highly informative evening.
The event is on Friday March 9 at the Calthorpe Arms, Grays Inn Road, with a 7.30pm start. Tickets for this event are £10, which must be purchased in advance and includes a hot buffet.
