James Beattie has joined Wednesday as assistant manager to Garry Monk in a trio of coaching appointments.
Beattie, a former player at Sheff U, has previously worked with Monk at Swansea, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Birmingham.
Meanwhile, Darryl Flahavan joins us as goalkeeping coach and Andrew Hughes as first team coach and all three will be in post for the squad’s return to training later this week.
Flahavan links up with the Owls, having been with Monk at Middlesbrough and Birmingham, while Hughes was part of the Huddersfield backroom team that won promotion to the Premier League under David Wagner and was most recently under-23 head coach at Sheff U until June of this year.
