Dave Jones has confirmed he would be interested in bringing Ross Barkley back to S6 if a loan opportunity arose.
The young Everton midfielder became a growing influence for the Owls during a loan spell earlier this season. He has since been on loan at Leeds but has now returned to Everton and there has been no confirmation as to any future possible developments.
With the ‘rebirth’ of David Prutton and Giles Coke in the Wednesday midfield and Kieran Lee and Jeremy Helan both emerging as key components on the flanks, a return for Barkley would be viewed with less urgency than it was a few months ago.
Jones said: “It’s not a priority – but if you asked me would I want him back then I’d say yes – he’s a super player.”
