Sam Hutchinson and Fernando Forestieri come back into contention for a place in the squad at Cardiff on Friday night after their suspensions.
Hutchinson is likely to return to the midfield after missing one match while Forestieri has completed his six-game ban.
Tom Lees continues back in training following his hamstring injury but Garry Monk says he is not ready to face Neil Warnock’s side.
Liam Palmer and Atdhe Nuhiu have also reported back fully fit from international duty while Massimo Luongo has recovered from the slight knee injury that ruled him out of action with Australia. In addition, David Bates continues to recuperate from his groin problem.
Wednesday go into the game knowing that victory by at least a two-goal margin would take us to the top of the Championship table before the rest of the division play on Saturday and Sunday.
However, Monk has talked of the experience of the Cardiff squad and says it will be a “tough and physical” challenge in south Wales on Friday evening.
