Barry Bannan says he hopes to be back in action in the near future after injury forced him off after half an hour against Fulham.
Bannan was helped off with what appears to be a groin problem, following his recent return from a lengthy lay-off.
Jos Luhukay said it could be a reaction to Bannan playing in three games in quick succession after being sidelined. He said they would have to await a doctor’s report on the injury but indicated that Bannan could miss Tuesday night’s trip to QPR.
Meanwhile, Bannan tweeted: ‘Hope the injury isn’t too bad, just maybe the three games in a week taking its toll on my groin. Hopefully back stronger next week – thanks for your concern’.
