Michail Antonio is on the verge of signing for Wednesday after protracted negotiations through the summer.
The winger is reported to have agreed personal terms and Wednesday and Reading are believed to have settled on a fee, thought to be in the £1m-plus region.
Meanwhile, the Owls are waiting on the results of scans on midfielder Chris Lines who was stretchered off with a groin injury during the 1-1 friendly draw against West Brom at Hillsborough on Saturday. Nejc Pecnik gave us the lead but the Baggies equalised just two mintues from time through Peter Odemwingie.
Dave Jones has also confirmed that trialist midfielders Gorka Larrea and Marek Jarolim will play for at least part of the friendly at Kilmarnock on Wednesday.
