Antonio exits as Owls look for two strikers

Michail Antonio’s move to Nottingham Forest has been confirmed.

The winger has moved for an undisclosed fee, although some reports estimate a figure of between £1.5m-£2m.

Chairman Milan Mandaric said he doesn’t like losing good players but that once Antonio had spoken with Forest he wanted to move and the chairman added he was pleased that the club has got good value in the deal.

Switching to the chase for St Johnstone striker Stevie May, Mandaric confirmed that a bid has been made for the player and said that Stuart Gray has been given the ‘green light’ to bring in two strikers before Saturday’s kick off at Brighton.

With regard to the stalled takeover, Mandaric said he would be giving an update on the situation by no later than Friday.
