Another touchline ban for Carlos

Carlos Carvalhal will be missing from the touchline for Friday night’s televised Hillsborough clash with league leaders Wolves.

The head coach received a one-match ban and a £3,000 fine from the FA on Monday after being sent to the stands during the 2-2 home draw with Hull earlier this month, when he protested to officials over a penalty appeal which was turned down.

Carvalhal was given a two-match ban – and £4,000 fine – earlier in the season after a touchline bust-up with Bolton boss Phil Parkinson during an EFL Cup tie and was also sent to the stands at Villa in March.
