Wednesday fans face a long wait this week to see how many of our injured players – if any – recover in time for Friday night’s play-off clash with Reading at Hillsborough.
Fernando Forestieri joined the injury list, missing the Villa game with a knee problem, and Glenn Loovens limped out of the game late on.
Added to this, Sam Hutchinson, Tom Lees, Almen Abdi and Callum McManaman have all been sidelined through injury while Vincent Sasso is definitely ruled out, having received a three-match ban for his sending off at the weekend.
Fulham will go above us and into the final play-off place if they win at home to Blackburn on Tuesday evening but victory for ourselves against Reading on Friday night would see us move above Jaap Stam’s side and back into the play-off positions.
