Almen Abdi’s disappointing first season at Wednesday has been ended by injury.
Abdi, who joined us from Watford just before the start of the campaign, failed to make the impact expected and struggled to hold down a regular place in the side.
When he briefly returned to the team in the New Year, he scored the EFL’s Goal of the Month against Forest in February. However, he was soon sidelined with a knee injury which required an operation and is now ruled out for the rest of the season.
