Gray: It might have been a game too far at Doncaster

Stuart Gray shared the feelings of the 4000-plus Wednesday fans at Doncaster when he spoke of the frustration of another below-par away display at the Keepmoat.
After two impressive home wins over Birmingham and QPR, the Owls failed to build on an encouraging start and rarely looked like getting back into the match after Rovers had taken a 33rd minute lead.
Gray said: “I’m annoyed because we are better than that. I’m frustrated as well because we had a great chance to score in the first half through Leon Best, and others, but didn’t take them.
“If you take your chances you win games and I’m sure, with the way we were playing, I would be talking here about three points instead of no points.”
Gray added: “For us, we played so well against a very good QPR side in midweek and maybe today was just a game too far. Doncaster didn’t have a game in midweek and I think it showed at times.”
